The lessons for the renewal of the European Parliament will take place today, Saturday 8 June and tomorrow, Sunday 9.

Italy will have to elect 76 MEPs in the 5 constituencies into which the national territory has been divided.

In the Islands constituency, which includes Sicily and Sardinia, 8 parliamentarians will be elected.

Polling stations will be open from 3pm today until 10pm, and from 7am to 11pm on Sunday.

To vote you must show up at your polling station with your ballot paper and a valid identity document.

The pink form includes the indication of the 11 lists presented in the constituency.

You vote by ticking the list and writing the name of the candidate or candidates for whom you want to express your preference.

It is possible to express up to three preferences, provided that both genders are represented.

You can express none or one preference, but if you express two or three preferences they cannot be for candidates of the same sex.

The counting of votes will begin at 11pm on the same Sunday.

There are 720 parliamentarians who will be elected, divided among the 27 nations that are part of the European Union.
