The shocking proposal of the local Piedmontese currency to overcome economic problems, one candidacy as mayor of Casale Monferrato supported by CasaPound and a list that includes anti-vax and anti-European exponents. This is it Alberto Costanzo’s anti-system pedigree, candidate for the regional elections in Piedmont with the Libertà list. The list is supported by Cateno De Luca’s movement under the direction of the former 5 Star Movement Laura Castelli, supporter of the proposal on the dual currency already presented when she was active in the Five Star Movement.

Born in 1962, lawyer, he was the author of various publications on the law and structure of the European Union and the ESM with critical positions towards Europe. In 2001 he left the National Alliance and ran with the last political elections Italexit. In short, Costanzo has always gravitated towards anti-system circles that refer to the far right or the so-called ‘Rossobrunism’.

The mantra of the Freedom candidate is that “the parties are completely uninterested in the popular will but only think about their own internal business interests”. There are 8 lists in support of Costanzo: South calls North, We United People, Pensioners + health, Together free, People of the Family, Movement for Italexit, Life and the Great North. For Costanzo there is “a malicious plan to give away healthcare to private individuals”. Libertà proposes as an alternative to remove health spending from the Stability Pact and create a local currency to “expand the economy and produce investments in the sectors that require it, such as health itself and other areas”.
