The Association of Tax Defender Accountants of Veneto is born

Promote the figure of the accountant in the field of tax defense and in carrying out the function of tax defender, supporting its active members in the assistance and representation of taxpayers in the tax control, assessment and judgment phases. With this objective, the Orders of Accountants of Veneto have created the Association of Tax Defender Accountants of Veneto (ACDT).

The new institutionofficially established last 19 February, is chaired by Antonio Viotto (ODCEC of Treviso), while the Board of Directors is made up of Sebastiano Barusco (Padua), as Vice President, Mara Pilla (Vicenza), as Secretary, Marco De Marchis ( Venice), Treasurer, and the Councilors Salvatore Sciortino (Belluno), Andrea Ferro (Rovigo) and Stefano Filippi (Verona).

“The birth of the ACDT – commented Viotto in a press release issued yesterday – represents a historic moment for the profession of accountant in Veneto and in Italy. This association aims to valorise professionalism and to strengthen the role of the chartered accountant as a tax defender”.

The commitment of the new body, which is based at the ODCEC in Venice, is to protect the dignity of the tax defense activity and the effective implementation of the taxpayer’s right of defence, promoting the study and in-depth analysis of the rules tax, as well as dialogue with the institutions and theprofessional development of its members.

“The association – added Viotto – was born from the desire to respond in an organized and structured way to the needs of an increasingly complex and challenging sector such as the tax sector. We are convinced that the ACDT will become a landmark important for all accountants who operate in the field of tax defence, with benefits also for taxpayers seeking qualified support and protection”.
