He left before everyone else, in October 2023, interviewing over ten thousand Cagliaritans who, almost by popular acclaim, told him what the urgencies and emergencies were: waste, safety and traffic: “And all the others, who arrived later, they repeated our program. But the people of Cagliari will choose the original and not the photocopies.” Then totally different photocopies on the most important point: civility. Giuseppe Farris is also banking on that to surprise at the polls: “We’ll go to the runoff, I’ll be there.” Against whom we don’t know, but for the mayoral candidate of Civica 2024 his will be one of the two final names in the field. “It was an exciting electoral campaign, always spent, from the beginning, among the people, listening to all their needs”. And from there the priorities arose, among which there is also the future of a super bottled up Via Roma and with a construction site that has managed to exhaust even the calmest.
Giuseppe Farris presents himself with only one list, both in Cagliari and in the Municipality of Pirri. And precisely for Pirri, thirty thousand inhabitants, Farris already has a project, explained a few weeks ago: “It can become an autonomous municipality, even in this case a referendum can be called”.
