In the meantime, the polling stations are open from today from 3pm to 11pm and tomorrow from 7am to 11pm. The results the most awaited are those that concern San Giorgio del Sanniowhich is the demographically largest municipality among those going to the vote where four of them are competing for the mayor’s seat: Maurizio Bocchino, Giuseppe Ricci, Giovanna Petrillo and Franco Cuomo.
THE COMPETITION
The fate of the Rocca dei Rettori will also depend on the outcome. In fact, we vote in Faicchio, a town led by Nino Lombardi. The latter will have to win against the challenger Vincenzo Petrucci to retain the presidency of the Province. Otherwise, mayors and city councilors would be called to vote. The outcome is a foregone conclusion in the three countries where there is only one list competing for votes. This is the case in Puglianello where Francesco Maria Rubano has re-nominated with a good part of his outgoing administration, in Casalduni where Pasquale Iacovella is running alone due to a numerical error committed by the team that wanted to challenge him and in Fragneto Monforte where Luigi Facchino is preparing to do an encore and reap the fruits of the “social peace” he implemented in his previous political program. 20 outgoing mayors out of 26 are standing again. Giuseppe Maria Maturo in Cusano Mutri, Rossano Insogna in Melizzano, Alessandro Crisci in Durazzano, Pino Papa in Forchia, Angelo Ciampi in San Giorgio del Sannio (remember that the Municipality was dissolved early after the latter was involved in an investigation by the DDA), Antonio Coletta in Paupisi.

A total of 67,523 Sanni voters are interested in the renewal of the 26 municipal councils with 79 seats. In detail: Amorosi (2,669 voters), Apice (5,272), Baselice (3,152), Bonea (1,305), Casalduni (1,666), Cautano (1,698), Circello (3,027), Colle Sannita (4,154), Cusano Mutri (4,799) , Durazzano (2,260), Faicchio (3,452), Forchia (1,108), Fragneto Monforte (2,021), Melizzano (1,818), Moiano (3,553), Montefalcone (1,798), Pannarano (1,882), Paolisi (2,138), Paupisi (1,331 ), Pietraroia (827), Puglianello (1,317), San Lorenzello (2,166), Sant’Arcangelo Trimonte (476), Tocco Caudio (1,506), Torrecuso (3,035), San Giorgio del Sannio (9,093).
THE VOTING GUIDE
To express your preference you will need to tick the symbol of the list you intend to vote for and write the name of the councilor candidate next to it, or add the latter directly next to the symbol. Since all 26 municipalities in which the new administrations are elected all have a population of less than 15 thousand inhabitants, split voting is not foreseen. Furthermore, voters will have to check whether there are still empty spaces on the supplied ballot paper where they can place the stamp certifying that the vote has taken place. Otherwise they will have to contact the electoral offices of their municipality to obtain the issue of a new ballot. That of Benevento it is located in the mega car park structure in via del Pomerio and will remain open during the days and times of the vote for the issuing of the cards and for the duplication of the identification document which must be shown together with the electoral card at the polling station. Furthermore, the Municipality of Benevento has organized public transport services to help disabled voters reach polling stations. Those who are not ambulant can ask to vote in a section other than their own if the latter has architectural barriers. But to do this, in addition to the electoral card, it will also be necessary to show a medical certificate from the ASL or a special driving license from which the total or partial impossibility of walking can be deduced. Voters unable to vote independently (blind, amputated hands, suffering from paralysis or other impediment of similar severity) can go to vote with the assistance of a trusted companion.
