Frost. The redemption of the city “with a ten-year project”. The Ars parliamentarian Nuccio Di Paola was the last signatory of the candidacy for mayor of the municipality Terenziano Di Stefano. The former councilor found in the Grillini one of the main sources to give life to the coalition of seven lists, with progressive, civic and autonomist colours, in addition to the support of the Deluchians of “South calls North” and of the communist party. “We believe we have done everything there was to do – says Di Paola who today closes the electoral campaign in Palermo together with former prime minister Giuseppe Conte – we have always talked to the city about a long perspective, ten years, to try to give a real turning point. The project starts from the territory and we have our candidate for mayor as a point of reference. Di Stefano as mayor and the election of Virginia Farruggia to the European Parliament would have been able to give relief to an area in difficulty. Is the axis with Rome and Palermo ensured only by the centre-right? I exclude it, the citizens have understood by now. A strong local policy can be respected in every location. Furthermore, it will be necessary to understand how long the centre-right governments in both Rome and Palermo will last, given that they are moving forward with terrible results. Our project can be the basis for a discussion on the development of the territory, in dialogue with all the realities of the district and closest to Gela, I am referring to Vittoria, Licata, Niscemi, to all the municipalities in the southern part of our province and also to Caltanissetta which is now experiencing the same difficulties. We believe in it and we have good people who want to make an important contribution, in all institutional settings. The results will tell if citizens want to trust our project. I hope that the match can be concluded in the first round, also because the city cannot afford to wait another fifteen days. The ballot? It’s still early to think about it.”
