At the end of the season the time comes to make evaluations on the path just concluded both on the pitch and on a financial level, even managing to combine both components of the game. To understand how the resources for players’ wages and cards were invested in relation to the points won in the championship, Football and Finance created a ranking based on an analysis of the relationship between the cost of the squad and the points won by the top ten teams in Serie A. Among these also the Turin who, as we well know, finished in ninth place, one step away from qualification in the Conference League.

Toro, one point cost 1.18 million

In this special ranking, Torino is in second place, behind the surprise Bologna, whose cost of every single point collected in the championship is 0.83 million euros. For the Granata, however, it amounts to 1, 18 million complete with lower cost in terms of amortization and loans (23.4 million). Turin is behind Bologna in terms of gross salaries (39.0 million) and total cost (62.4 million). Followed by the Granata are Atalanta (1.48 million), Fiorentina (1.73 million), Lazio (1.82 million), Milan (2.04 million), Inter (2.05 million), Roma (2.45 million), Napoli (2.83) and Juventus (3.15 million).
