Not a school play, but a real musical with 108 students on stage including actors, dancers and choristers. It is the musical show “Mary Poppins, the art of educating with a little sugar”, staged in the splendid setting of the ‘Teatro del Fuoco’, by the XII Giacomo Leopardi educational club of Foggia.
The choice of the subject to stage was not random: the objective of the teachers who put on the show – scene after scene and choreography after choreography – was to bring the ‘educational dimension’ in its complexity, the role of the educators and the family as well as the legitimate expectations of children, boys and girls.
Important themes made accessible to the little ones thanks to the advice and teachings of the most magical of nannies – Mary Poppins, in fact – who accompanied entire generations of children in their growth. The musical was created thanks to the great commitment of the teachers of the institute (who were able to valorise, in the construction of the show, the aptitudes and abilities of the individual students), of the families who collaborated in the preparation of scenes and costumes and of those who, in various ways, contributed to the debut.
