Livorno, 19 April 2024 – Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June 2024 will take place electoral consultations for the election of the members of the European Parliament belonging to Italy and for the election of the Mayor and City Council of Livorno.
The Municipal Electoral Commission has adopted new criteria for the appointment of scrutineers of seat. All registered members scrutineers can in fact express your availability to perform this function.
Interested parties can communicate this availability online at the following address: https://cizrm.municipia.eng.it/login?ente=E625 until Wednesday 8 May. To access you must authenticate with SPID, CIE or CNS and first have verified that you are actually registered in the municipal register of scrutineers. Registration in the register of scrutineers can be verified by connecting to the website: https://srvarpagtw.comune.livorno.it/75 ‘Presence in Registers and Self-certifications’ section.
It is also possible to present your availability at the counter of the Municipality’s Electoral Office, Piazza del Municipio 50, first floor.
The Office operates at the following times:
Until Tuesday 30 April:
- on Monday and Friday mornings from 9.00 to 13.00
- on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3.30pm to 5.30pm
From Thursday 2 May:
- every morning from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 13.00
- on Tuesdays and Thursdays also in the afternoon from 3.30pm to 5.30pm
The following are required for appointment as scrutineer priority criteria:
- unemployment status, resulting from registration at the employment centre;
- students;
- all the others.
Those who declare priorities 1) or 2), will also have to respectively provide information relating to the state of unemployment resulting from registration at the employment center or the course of study attended, in order to allow checks by the Institution on the declarations presented.
THE assignment criteria the polling stations will be as follows:
- scrutineers are assigned to each electoral section according to the order of priority and if possible based on the electoral section they belong to or on the same complex where the same section is located;
- in the event that the availability presented is less than the number of scrutineers needed, the remaining names will be drawn from the register at random;
- in the event that the availability is greater than the number of scrutineers needed for the positions to be filled, without prejudice to the application of the above priorities, all those who have given their availability will be drawn and assigned to fill the positions of the effective scrutineers. Those in excess, again according to the draw, will be assigned to the top places in the substitutes’ ranking.
The day Wednesday 15 May 2024 at 12.00 in the City Council room, the Municipal Electoral Commission, in a public session, will appoint the polling station scrutineers and draw up the list of any alternates.
The installation of the polling stations will take place on Saturday 8 June at 9.00 am.
Voting will take place over two days, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June, at the following times:
- Saturday 8 June, from 3.00 pm to 11.00 pm (as established by Legislative Decree 7 of 2024 converted with amendments into Law no. 38 of 25 March 2024)
- Sunday 9 June, from 7.00 to 23.00.

The appointments as polling station scrutineers for the 8 and 9 June shift also remain valid for the possible run-off of the municipal elections, scheduled for Sunday 23 and Monday 24 June.
Once the voting operations on Sunday have been completed, the section electoral offices will carry out counting and counting operations for the European elections.
The counting and counting for the administrative elections will take place starting from 2.00 pm on Monday 10 June.
