Scansano (Grosseto), 6 June 2024 – The church of Pomonte, a hamlet of They dodge in the province of Grosseto, was unable to contain all those who wanted to take part in the funeral of Mattia Cappellani, 18, the student who died in a motorbike accident.
He collided with a thirty-eight year old, Leonardo Di Marte, also deceased, also living in a hamlet of Scansa, Pancole. A tragedy that affects all of Scansano, which on the day of the funeral, on the afternoon of Thursday 6 June, observed city mourning.
While the funeral of Leonardo Di Marte was being celebrated in Grossetothe church of Pomonte welcomed the remains of Mattia Cappellani.
All his friends were there, all his classmates from vocational school Manetti Porciatti of Grosseto. Mattia would soon take the final exam together with his classmates. He had a life ahead of him.
Now everyone stares into space in front of the coffin in church. Mattia loved motorbikes, and many two-wheel enthusiasts who participated in the ceremony wanted to place their helmets on the ground as a sign of mourning.
