(Adnkronos) – Altroconsumo measured the quality and reliability of hi-tech product brands; in addition to the objective parameters obtained from laboratory tests, the word was given to those who purchased these products and use them every day. Milan, 7 June 2024 – Altroconsumo conducted a test on hi-tech product brands to understand which ones ensure greater quality, satisfaction and reliability. Furthermore, in the last two years the Organization has collected in Italy, together with the European consumer organizations with which it collaborates (therefore also in Belgium, Portugal and Spain), the experiences of almost 50 thousand people dealing with smartphones, televisions, printers and smartwatches . The opinions that emerged contributed to defining a global evaluation of the different brands to guide the choice of the best product.
When analyzing smartphone brands, characteristics such as the ease of writing messages, the quality of the screen and cameras, battery life, Internet browsing, the quality of phone calls and resistance to falls and splashes of water. In first place Apple, with an overall score of 80, followed by Sony (77) and Google (73). Instead, for the evaluation of the best brands of televisions, the characteristics and performances of the televisions were analyzed with tests on image quality, ease of use (first installation, daily use, multimedia functions, familiarity with the remote control), audio quality and consumption. Sony leads the ranking, with an overall score of 65, on a par with Samsung and LG. In fourth and fifth place in the ranking, however, there are Panasonic (62) and Philips (61). The different brands of smartwatches involved in the test were evaluated considering ease of use and battery life, smart functions, compatibility with phones, versatility, robustness and cybersecurity. The first position in the ranking is occupied by Apple, with an overall score of 82, followed by Garmin, with a score of 79, and Samsung, with a score of 78.
Finally, the best printer brands were evaluated taking into account printing performance, ease of use, environmental sustainability (cartridges, ink consumption…) and use as a scanner or photocopier.
