The works at the Sea

The interventions aim at an improvement both physically, through the removal of architectural barriers, and cognitively. The works are fully financed with PNRR resources for the amount of 500 thousand euros.

After the installation of the new internal signage and the restyling of the ticket office/bookshop, work continues on the creation of a new network of access routes to the museumwhich is affecting the stretch that leads from the Porta Nuova car park to the MAR entrance, the portion that connects the main access with Via di Roma and the stretch that leads to the Public Gardens.

The Coconino Fest

The MAR will reopen from June 18th ready for the extraordinary weekend of Coconino Fest, that from 21st to 23rd June will liven up the museum with exhibitions, meetings and shows which will feature the major contemporary comics authors and graphic novels.

Gipi will exhibit for the first time the plates of his latest graphic novel “Stacy“. From Japan comes a master of contemporary manga, Usamaru Furuya. Female comics by two great authors, the French one Valentine Cuny-Le Callet and the German Anke Feuchtenberger, they question themselves about society and our recent history. And again: the spotlight is on the mocking genius of Filippo Scòzzari, on young pencils and on already established talents such as Antonio Prediction And Pietro Scarnera.
