Bianchi, Peghin and Mirabelli report to the owner: the foundations will be laid for the next season with budget and objectives
The long-awaited meeting between the management of Calcio Padova (made up of the CEO Alessandra Bianchi, the president Francesco Peghin and the sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli) and the owner of the club Joseph Oughourlian will be held today in the early afternoon in the Amber offices in London. The delegation will return to Padua today in the evening and at the beginning of next week (perhaps Tuesday) there will be a press conference to explain the company line for the next season to the Padua public.
The financier should (obligatory conditional because today’s meeting will be decisive) continue with the pursuit of Serie B as his primary objective through a market “policy” not too distant from that seen in the last two years. It could therefore be the third year of the transfer market low profile, we will therefore scan the market in search of emerging profiles (similar to the various Villa, Capelli, Varas, Liguori…) but of quality. In fact, not real bets, but players who have already proven to make the difference in the category, perhaps in “minor” teams. One thing is certain, the sporting director Mirabelli will try to convince the owner to give a new impetus to investments, based on the (economic) results obtained so far thanks also to his work. The sporting director, still tied to Padova for another two years, would above all like to bring Domenico Toscano, a champion of the category, to the bench. It would be the foundation stone of the new Padova, but good technical guarantees (as well as the right salary) will be needed to convince the coach to accept the white shield court.
