In the upcoming weekend, the collateral events of the new edition of AstiTeatrocultural review scheduled from June 13th to 29th.
At the Gianni Basso Room of the Alfieri Theatre, tomorrow afternoon from 2pm to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm, “Sewing up the firmament – Sentimental sewing workshop”. An appointment, developed and hosted by Barbara Mugnaiprofessor of Fashion Design at the Polytechnic of Milan, with the participation of Patrizia Camatelactress of the Casa degli Alfieri.
The workshop is inspired by the figure of Teresa, the seamstress protagonist of Antonio Catalano’s story “Teresa. The seamstress who wanted to mend the firmament”from which i is takenthe theatrical monologue which will debut at the Asti Teatro Festival on 26 and 27 Junebrought to the stage by Patrizia Camatel.
During the workshop hours manipulation, mending and assembly techniques will be explored to create, repair and transform fabrics giving life to a collective work of art. A shared experience of sentimental sewing to work together on the construction of props that will be a permanent part of the show.
The workshop, by reservation, was created to encourage inclusion, intergenerational and intercultural exchange. No sewing experience is required.

Finally, it remains to point out that the scheduled appointments “Beyond the Curtain” and “Before the Curtain”with the actress Chiara Buratti, however, they will not take place for health reasons of the protagonist.
