“More services for those who open here”

The occasion is to present the ‘Investinforlì’ project, but Paola Casara, councilor for productive activities and candidate in the Forlì Cambia civic list, also wanted to proceed with a recap of what has been done in the field of business policies in recent years. five years. A balance sheet at the end of the electoral campaign, in short, which starts from ‘Forlì impresa facile’, “an accompaniment path for businesses which focuses on simplification, de-bureaucratisation and which includes the regulation for dehors”, and then moves on to Hub@Fo: ” A system of services for the orientation of young people to work, training and support for young people’s business ideas which has also given rise to several startups”. To then arrive at two projects underway: ‘Forlì for talents’ and ‘Forlì innovation hub’. “The first – explains Casara – involves encouraging the arrival of talents and specialized professionals in the city thanks to the connection with universities, businesses and the real estate sector, in order to support businesses in the development of corporate welfare and thus increase their attractiveness, while the second is a further plan for the promotion of youth entrepreneurship which will be developed through an ecosystem of distributed services to support innovative ideas, offering spaces for coworking, methodological support and consultancy: for now it will be implemented at the former Santarelli and from 2026 at the Chamber of Commerce”.

Investinforlì, however, “will be the first leg of the strategic plan of the city that we want to implement in the second Zattini council – underlines Casara – and will be designed through the different vocations of the city as primary axes of development. We are thinking of the sectors of upholstered furniture, nautical, agriculture, aerospace, green, logistics and mechatronics. We will support these with the center’s commerce and the university and cultural center”.

The idea is to activate an accompaniment and assistance service for companies, including those from outside the territory, who are interested in investing in Forlì. Casara lists the strengths: “We have many companies that are choosing our city as a base, also thanks to its logistics centrality, infrastructure and quality of life and services”. In essence, Investinforlì, in concert with trade associations and other regional partners, wants to offer companies attraction and assistance services thanks to a mapping of the main investment opportunities, production chains, university faculties and research centers, defining the economic data on the city that can guide the most profitable strategic choices. In this way “it will be possible to give a homogeneous response to the requests of companies regarding the potential of Forlì – concludes Casara –, gathering the needs of a territory in turmoil and change”.

“The same trade associations – intervenes the mayor Gian Luca Zattini – have recognized a clear change of pace compared to the past. We see every entrepreneur who wants to invest in Forlì as an opportunity that must be supported and to do so the first step is the simplification: we must always be ready to give the answers we need in the right time. Not only that: businesses must know they can trust the Municipality. A lot has been done, the work of these years has been precious and we want to move forward and continue dialogue with all those who can bring wealth to our territory as partners and not as an obstacle to the development of the city”.
