Rome, 6 June. – Dolomiti Paganella, everything is ready to cut the ribbon on the new edition of the Family Festival: from 16 to 23 June 2024 the rich program for adults and children returns to celebrate the first days of summer together with the whole family. Seven days dedicated to well-being and fun, but always with an eye towards the environment, with many opportunities, including art, creativity, walks and shows, to discover new sides of nature and learn more about the Paganella Plateau .
Numerous activities are offered, such as the creative workshops of the Biblioigloo inspired by nature, or, for the more adventurous, the walk up to Cima Paganella, from where it will be possible to admire the “throne of eagles” and enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. For those who want to immerse themselves in nature without tiring the little ones, there is Baby Forest Bathing at the Parco del Respiro in Fai della Paganella: an opportunity to create unprecedented harmony with nature through immersion in the beech wood and listening to tales and legends.
Like every year, the offers of the structures on the Plateau are also renewed: for the entire duration of the Family Festival it will be possible to benefit from family packages to stay at advantageous prices in the best family hotels in the Dolomiti Paganella.
Here are the unmissable events scheduled for the Family Festival.
Creative by nature, between workshops and foraging walks. Nature is creative and will demonstrate it at the opening of the Family Festival. In fact, on Monday 17 June the ball will be kicked off by the activities and creative workshops of the Biblioigloo, the first library in Italy to be built on the ski slopes (in the Prati di Gaggia area) and reachable from Andalo via cable car. Inside it will be possible to give free rein to creativity, taking inspiration from nature and the surrounding mountains. The appointment will be repeated every day, from Monday to Sunday.
It continues on Tuesday 18 June with the My Family Art woodworking workshop and on Thursday 20 June with the activities organized at METS, the Trentino Ethnographic Museum, through which to learn and discover the games and crafts of the past.
On Friday 21 June, the appointment is with Sara Bertò, a naturopath who will propose a short walk to discover the herbs and spontaneous flowers of the area. With the harvest, each participant will be able to personalize a t-shirt through the manual typing technique, without resorting to the use of solvents. On the same day, a second moment with Sara will take place at the Fai della Paganella Educational Garden and will focus on the knowledge of aromatic herbs.
Learn to respect the environment while having fun. A Show of Wonders, spectacular and unexpected, to talk about separate waste collection, renewable energy and raise awareness of energy saving and less use of plastic. Tuesday 18 June the appointment is in Sarnacli (Andalo) with Ecocircus, including magic, acrobatics and balancing acts.
On Wednesday 19 June, a new appointment with the naturopath Sara returns to the Andalo Life centre, who will teach how to preserve and protect trees, among the most important resources of our planet, with recycled paper, water, flowers and leaves collected by the participants.
Between forest bathing and summit walks for a total immersion in nature. On Wednesday 19 June, guests of the Festival will have the opportunity to meet a special friend: Sciuri, a friendly squirrel who will introduce the participants to his house, the forest, through games, activities and small experiments. All under the guidance of an expert naturalist; the meeting point is at Il Mondo di Sciuri.
For those who want to get to know the wilder side of the mountain and put themselves to the test, the event not to be missed on Thursday 20 June is the walk to Cima Paganella accompanied by the medium mountain guide Ivo. Climbing up to 2,125 meters above sea level, it will be possible to admire the “throne of eagles” and enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountains surrounding the plateau. To discover the rich native flora (and the most beautiful flowers of the Alps) simply continue along the botanical path, encountering gentianels, arnica, rhododendrons, negritellas and edelweiss.
On the same day, a Baby Forest Bathing route will also be available at the Parco del Respiro in Fai della Paganella. A unique opportunity to connect with nature and let girls and boys experience the forest in a new way: immersed in a beech forest, participants will wear wireless headphones through which they will be able to listen to stories and legends, deepening their knowledge of the area . The experience will involve all the senses thanks to the possibility of collecting some elements of the undergrowth and walking barefoot among trunks, hay, pebbles and bark. The excursion is basic level and recommended for all children up to 10 years old; the use of a stroller is not recommended, preferring instead a child-carrying backpack.
Fun for the whole family, including circus arts and Baby Disco. The Dolomiti Paganella Family Festival is all-round fun, which is why there will be no shortage of musical and entertainment events. The first appointment is on Monday 17 June at the Andalo Conference Center for Andalo Magic, a spectacular circus show that will leave everyone speechless.
Wednesday 19 June is the turn of Family Day, at the Palacongressi in Andalo. Friday 21 June will instead be the turn of the magic of street theatre, with the performers Jenny and Morri who will bring a show of juggling, illusionism, circus arts and acrobatics to Molveno.
The unmissable events of the Family Festival will close in style at the Palacongressi in Andalo on Saturday 22 June with a Baby Disco Show: the floor will be entirely for the little dancers, who will be able to let loose to the rhythm of their favorite hits.
