The meeting between the company and the union forces is on Friday
Legnano – It will be the meeting on Friday 7 June between company leaders and trade union forces was decisive to decide the future of about fifteen workers of the Gtl Tirinnanzi of Legnano, historic Legnano company that deals with thermo-hydraulic components. The owners have decided to move the current warehouse in via Secchi to Telgate in the Bergamo area, very far from the city of Carroccio, opening a procedure for the transfer of a company branch under contract. But unfortunately, Telgate is 85 km away: for workers the choice is either to accept the move or the exit proposal made by the company.
“For us it is an inadmissible proposal – thunders Fabio Toriello of Filcams Cgil – and it’s a disguised dismissal. Precisely for this reason at the last assembly we declared a state of agitation. We are talking about workers mostly over 50 who are difficult to relocate”. In recent days, some employees had protested in the street with signs. “It is an obligatory entrepreneurial choice to survive – comments the company administrator Anna Tirinnanzi – and for us it was a painful choice that we had to make to survive. The current location is uncomfortable and no longer usable. The company wants to propose the so-called outplacement, i.e. a path of orientation and enhancement of an employee who will leave the company in order to facilitate their reintegration into the world of work with a year’s salary”.
