“The deputy health director Luigi Esposito – Galli said in a note – pointed out to the Undersecretary of Health Marcello Gemmato the need to set up the complex Anesthesia and Resuscitation structure together with the functionality of the entire hospital starting from the operating rooms of the structures of Surgery and Orthopaedics. During the meeting, in which I participated, I highlighted the new provision, just approved by the Council of Ministers, which allows the removal of spending constraints on the hiring of healthcare personnel and which therefore places the Region in a position to strengthen the existing structures starting with Anesthesia and Resuscitation. With the Undersecretary we visited the Emergency Department and there the need emerged to strengthen the emergency emergency structure with additional financial resources to allow the Region to hire additional healthcare personnel (doctors and nurses), especially in consideration of the upcoming summer season , characterized by the presence in Manfredonia of an average of 100 thousand souls. The government representative has assured us of an expansion of our hospital and our emergency room to guarantee proximity services for approaching treatment”.
