The carabinieri on leave take to the field once again for the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Varese. Today, 6 June 2024, the president of the Varese section of the National Carabinieri Association, retired lieutenant Roberto Leonardi, presented to the Chief Prosecutor of Varese Antonio Gustapane three new volunteers belonging to different ANC sections of the province of Varese and who will be employed to help make up, at least in part, for the staff shortage of this important Varese institution.
The new volunteers are Lieutenant Special Charge on leave Domenico Cirigliano, a well-known and esteemed face in Varese and its province for his long and brilliant career in the Army, currently president of the ANC Gazzada-Schianno-Azzate, and who will be accompanied in his voluntary work in the Prosecutor’s Office by another full member, auxiliary carabiniere on leave, from the same section. The architect is added to them Mara Polifamily member of the ANC section of Somma Lombardo.
The volunteers, who will be present in the Prosecutor’s Office at least once a week, will initially be employed in the criminal records and trial office. In this way, the volunteers in the Prosecutor’s Office of the National Carabinieri Association rise to six, given the presence for some time and with excellent results of the three volunteers made available to the Varese section of the ANC: the lieutenant Giorgio StracquadanioVice President of ANC Varese, Brigadier Gianni Vidale and the auxiliary carabiniere Giuseppe Caspani, all on leave. At the end of the meeting, Prosecutor Gustapane declared his gratitude «towards the National Association of Carabinieri on leave for the help provided to the Prosecutor’s Office of Varese through the voluntary activity offered by three very valid members in different sections of the province who they join the others already in service with excellent results, so as to make an essential contribution to the correct and timely completion of the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office which I manage in a situation of serious shortage of administrative staff”.
Thus, President Leonardi expressed «a profound satisfaction for the contribution that the carabinieri on leave from the Province of Varese will be able to give to the Varese Prosecutor’s Office» and expressed «a profound gratitude for the immediate availability of colleagues from other sections of the ANC, demonstrating, first of all, the strong potential of the Carabinieri on leave at provincial level employed in volunteering for the benefit of our entire territory of the province” and, at the same time, today was the opportunity “to underline how the carabiniere, even if on leave, always demonstrates his loyalty to the institutions and a spirit of service for the benefit of the citizensas key principles and values of the members of the Carabinieri, in active service and on leave, since 13 July 1814, the date of establishment of this important Armed Force”.
