This morning, at the Contrada Lazzaria penitentiary, another violent attack with death threats by an Algerian inmate who was screaming like a madman towards all those who, for work reasons, find themselves passing in front of his location.
The prisoner in question, coming from the prison of Salerno, precisely for order and safety, this morning around 10.30 began slamming the doors of the lockers and the bathroom door, creating discontent with the entire inmate population, jeopardizing order and the security of the internal Institute.
The prison police officers intervened to bring him back to calm, but the North African inmate with a lightning movement tried to stab the superintendent who was on site with a sharp broom handle, managing to hit him on the right side of the neck.
The policeman was accompanied to the infirmary for treatment. The Algerian, 30 years old, very aggressive, is constantly the perpetrator of such behaviors and has been asked several times to be removed due to similar episodes in a more suitable place to follow and treat him.
