As part of “Quartu Rassegna Autori 2024”, the Urban Library System of Quartu Sant’Elena promotes the presentation of the book “At Eleonora’s court” Of Maria Teresa Casu. The appointment will be held on Monday 10 June 2024 at 5.30 pm in the Central Library in via Dante 66/88.
On this occasion he will dialogue with the author Daniela Tevere. The readings will be curated by Dario Cosseddu and the music will be curated by Maestro Franco Fois.
The novel (Pav Editions, 2024) gives us an authoritative and resolute Eleonora in a harsh and archaic 14th century Sardinia, where reality, magic and superstition condition the course of events. The mystery of the murder of her brother, still unsolved, will hand her over to history as a heroine still loved by the Sardinian people to this day. Eleonora will not have an easy life but her ability to fall and get up every time stronger than before has allowed her to always maintain prestige and femininity in the roles of woman, mother and wife.
Maria Teresa Casu was born in Cagliari to a father from Gallura and a mother from Oristano, in 1952. A retired mathematics teacher, he is on his second novel. Writing, an ancient passion, has become his favorite occupation without neglecting other hobbies such as reading, music and “naïve” painting, through which he imagines an uncontaminated nature.
