For the first time, welcome kits to accommodation facilities to be given to tourists

It is the first operation of this type promoted by the Municipality and is part of the process of consolidating the network between public and private actors

A useful tool for a first overview of the city that visitors will find directly where they are staying. It’s about “welcome kit” for tourists delivered this morning by Adriano Tramontiresponsible for promotion of LEM Foundation, to a first group of hospitality facility managers. The operation is part of the process of consolidating the network between public and private actors in the territorial tourism sector of which the Foundation, as DMO (Destination Management Organisation), is the promoter and animator. The making available of the kits was announced by a letter sent by the mayor to everyone

the city’s accommodation facilities. To date I am well 81 those who responded and who will have updated information on the city available through the welcome kits and beyond 3000 copies of the first set of maps. These, also available at the tourist info point in Piazza del Municipio, have been made more functional and attractive in graphics and show the main places of interest and the related online landing QR-Codes. An additional QR-Code on the display refers to www.visit-livorno.it: the single tourism portal that brings together all the attractions of the city, from places to visit to food and wine proposals,

from events to experiences to bring to the city. The kit prominently displays the logo that has characterized the Foundation’s tourism promotion action for several months now: a heart inscribed in a pentagon that refers to the city plan conceived by Buontalenti and designed by the Medici Fossi. The portal www.visit-livorno.it can be accessed by directly scanning the QR-code on the display. This also presents in a tray several copies of the new city map drawn up by the LEM Foundation. This is the first time that an organic distribution action for this type of product has been planned. An operation that could not

be postponed longer in the context of a strategy that not only involves promoting the destination, but also taking care of the visitor once they arrive in Livorno. The structuring of the relationship between operators in the hospitality sector and LEM is based on mutual utility aimed at the overall valorisation and promotion of the Livorno tourist destination. This applies to the over 40 experiences proposed by tour operators uploaded on the visit-livorno portal and now to the welcome kit for hospitality operators that the city has been waiting for for too long.
