Crotone, redevelopment of the sports field with Pnrr funds

CROTONE – On the morning of June 5th, the new multipurpose sports field of the ‘Mario Ciliberto’ Nautical Institute was inaugurated. The work was financed by the PNRR M4-C1-1.3 ‘Plan for infrastructure for sport in schools’ with an amount of 90 thousand euros. Specifically, the redevelopment of the area saw the reconstruction of the synthetic grass sports flooring, with the complete replacement of the damaged screed of the playing surface. We also proceeded to restore the external fence, the entrance gates and the lighting system. “Today is a beautiful day – declared the Ferrari President who inaugurated the new pitch together with the Manager Girolamo Arcuri – because a new structure is being given to the school and above all to the children where they can practice physical activity. An important investment of 90 thousand euros, for the first of a series of school building works, which is being completed in the province – because others are under construction – with important interventions as a share of the PNRR for almost 12 million euros” . “When I was a student, sports science class was the most eagerly awaited and it is still like this today – says Arcuri – because it is useful for giving vent to those energies that study compresses a little. We must therefore thank the Provincial body which is the owner of the school which made this field usable which had been unusable for some time and through this synergistic work, which saw the Province as the first actor, we managed to carry out this work long awaited by the families and by the students.”
