CIVITAVECCHIA – “We at the Center know what everyone knows, but what they haven’t told you in silence for years and that, that is, after the closure of the coal power plant, the great winter of the city’s economy is coming. We at the Center really want to change direction, thinking that Civitavecchia deserves more.
On the Left “once upon a time”, but apparently the usual Left still survives (i.e. the dockworkers, some communist-style relics), the usual program very far from the ideas of Elly Schlein’s PD, the usual faces including that of the candidate for mayor (thirty years as a politician) whose works escape everyone’s attention.
On the Right, however, an unusual right, quarrelsome and unbalanced, which admitted the failure of the last five years of administration by not nominating the outgoing mayor (forced to make and unmake the list of councilors seven times). Their candidate is both an employee of the port and mayor-at-all-costs: screwed at the first election, hidden on the bench the second time, placed now, finally, astride a horse without the center “leg” ( Forza Italia) is crippled and shaky.
For this reason, We at the Center or Forza Italia, Italia Viva, Azione, Noi Moderati, together with associations, societies, groups, men and women of reformist-moderate culture, wanted a new candidate, outside the games of their politics.
And we chose: it is Paolo Poletti, a Civitavecchia native of great quality who was Chief of Staff of the Guardia di Finanza, Deputy Director of the Agency for information and external and before that internal security, today a university professor.
For us at the Center at a time when there is a need for ideas, new initiatives and high professional skills and above all concreteness, Poletti, for years at the top of the State, is certainly the most competent and the candidate who boasts the best relationships, useful in a moment that promises to be difficult. He is the best choice. And he has no alternative.
