They don’t send their children to school, 106 parents reported in Pozzuoli

NAPLES (ITALPRESS) – Carabinieri operation aimed at combating school dropout, in Pozzuoli, in the province of Naples. At the end of the necessary investigations, 106 people were reported for failure to comply with the obligation of minor education. The checks were carried out both in the premises of the schools and in the premises of the municipal social services. The 106 suspects “in their capacity as those exercising parental authority” would not have allowed school education for 68 minors. Of these, 24 would never have attended school while the remaining 44 did so but occasionally, not reaching the necessary number of attendances. In fact, the student cannot exceed 25% of absences based on the number of days of the school year. In some cases the students did not resume attendance despite the formal warning from the Mayor of Pozzuoli.
