Theft in a supermarket in Asti: three people arrested

A crew of the Flying Squad of the Asti Police Headquarters arrested three EU citizens, two women and a man, for complicity in aggravated theft.

On the morning of last Monday, June 3rd, the officers of the Asti Police Flying Squad arrested three peopletwo women and a man, for a theft inside a supermarket in Corso Casale.

Around 10.30, one of the two women, already known to the police, entered the supermarket and took some goods from the store shelves and then quickly fled in a car, in which his two accomplices were waiting for him.

Thanks to the timely alarm raised by the supermarket’s security staff, a patrol car engaged in the area for the usual control service managed to intercept the fleeing vehicle near Corso Alessandria and stopped the three occupants.

Inside the car, officers found all the stolen items, for a total value of approximately 800 euros. The goods were then returned to their rightful owners.

The three were taken to the Asti Police Headquarters for the ritual formalities and, upon order of the Judicial Authority, they were held under arrest for complicity in aggravated theft in the security rooms of the Police Headquarters.
