Reggio Emilia The ceremony to commemorate the 210 years of life of the Benemerita will take place in Reggio Emilia, in one of the most beautiful squares of our city, Piazza San Prospero, recently returned to the people of Reggio Emilia after its restoration. Wednesday 5 June at 9am.
A special anniversary because after the tragic flood of last year, when even the Carabinieri of Emilia-Romagna canceled the event out of solidarity with the affected populations, in Reggio Emilia the Carabinieri return to celebrate the anniversary together with the citizens, in one of the places symbol of the capital.
It will be a strongly felt military ceremony, which will see the participation of the main civil and military authorities, representatives of the province’s carabinieri and their families, the Army personnel on leave, citizens and numerous students. A training company will be deployed in the square, made up of a platoon in Special Grand Uniform of Brigadiers, Officers and Carabinieri in service, a platoon of station commanders, Foresters and non-commissioned officers and a mixed platoon made up of Carabinieri employed in territorial control, in ski rescue, public order and forestry police.
Present the banner of the National Blue Ribbon Institute and the military associations as well as the banner of the city of Reggio Emilia decorated with a gold medal for military valor. After the messages from the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and the Army Corps General Teo Luzi, the provincial commander Colonel Andrea Milani will intervene and will have the task of drawing up a balance sheet of the institutional activity. At the end, the certificates of merit for the most significant operations of the year will be delivered. L
