It happened at 10pm yesterday 3 June in this New Market square when a report arrived at the police station regarding a woman attacked by a foreign citizen.
The local police force was immediately sent to the scene, with the help of an Army patrol on patrol duty, which tracked down and secured a man, identified as a Senegalese citizen born in 1999, legal in Italy. After hearing the parties and some witnesses, it was ascertained that shortly before, a 26-year-old Italian woman residing in Pistoia, had been punched by the foreign citizen in question. The attack arose following a disagreement on the price of a sexual service, previously agreed between the two, but not consummated because the sum that the foreigner intended to pay was lower than the agreed one. During her argument, the man took the woman’s phone away, threatening not to give it back until after her sexual performance. In the event, the foreigner, with the intention of carrying out his actions, attempted a sexual approach by touching the woman in his private parts despite her clear refusal. Thanks to the providential intervention of the police on site, the criminal act was interrupted with the arrest of the perpetrator and the safety of the woman.
At the end of the formalities in the office and the related formalization of the documents, the arrested person was arrested and held in the security rooms of the Police Headquarters available to the competent AG for today’s very direct procedure.
