The big heart of Rimini, solidarity and love for reading meet in the new community of volunteer readers for young patients hospitalized in pediatrics
Solidarity and the love of reading meet in the new ‘Pediatrics Volunteer Readers’ Group’ born from the big hearts of the citizens of Rimini.
Coordinated by the Center for Families of the Municipality of Rimini and established last week following the approval of the collaboration agreement scheme as part of the municipal project of participation and active citizenship, the new civic aims to bring a bit of magic and serenity to the young patients of the pediatric department of the Infermi Hospital through the reading of fairy tales and stories. These are 17 generous volunteers, all appropriately trained, who will dedicate themselves to the organization and preparation of readings to be offered to the young patients, which will take place on a weekly basis, approximately in the late afternoon, always in agreement and subject to authorization from the hospital staff. In addition to reading fairy tales, the group aims to create moments of leisure with games and sharing activities, making hospitalization a less burdensome and more pleasant experience for the children.
