Tomorrow evening (5 June) at 7pm, in Piazza Duomo in Trento, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Trento will celebrate the 210th anniversary of the foundation of the Carabinieri in a solemn ceremony, in the presence of the civil authorities, including the Mayors Trentino, religious and military.
The Royal Carabinieri Corps was established on 13 July 1814 and was assigned tasks of protecting internal security, defending institutions and controlling public safety. The anniversary is dictated by the granting, on 5 June 1920, of the first Gold Medal for Military Valor to the Flag of the Army, for the heroic behavior of individuals and departments during the First World War.
The ceremony will include the deployment of an armed unit made up of a platoon of Carabinieri in Special Large Uniform, a representation of Station Commanders and a structure made up of specialties of the Force made up of motorcyclists – rock climbers – skiers and anti-terrorism units, at the which will also include a training of personnel in service belonging to the Armed Forces, Police and Civil Protection operating in the area, as well as the fighting and military associations based in the province. The participation of some school groups who have joined the projects for the formation of the culture of legality offered every year by the Provincial Command is also expected.
The event will also be enlivened by the notes of the Aldeno Band, which kindly offered to accompany the event and by the enchanting voice of the lyric soprano Katarzyna Medlarska who will sing the National Anthem on the occasion.
During the event, rewards will be given to the Carabinieri of this Province, who have distinguished themselves for special merits or exceptional interventions. On this occasion, as part of the ceremony, the vehicles used by the various components of the force will be put on display throughout the square and exhibition stands relating to the various specialties operating in the area will be set up. The Carabinieri, who have always been at the service of the community, intended to celebrate their festival among the people in the heart of the Trentino capital, for this reason they invite all citizens to take part.
