A 51-year-old woman was intentionally hit by a car in Viale XXIV Maggio in Collegno, on the western outskirts of Turin. The episode occurred on the night between 3 and 4 June: the woman was rescued and taken to hospital at the CTO in Turin, where she received a ninety-day prognosis. The investigators then tracked down the hit-and-run driver, who had not gone very far, and thus discovered that he knew his victim. The car hit the 51-year-old at full speed and she then quickly walked away. The police spotted the car not too far from the accident site, with a dent on the front. A 53-year-old man, owner of the car, and his 43-year-old wife were then arrested. Looking at the area surveillance cameras, investigators reconstructed how the couple approached the 51-year-old and, after a heated argument, got into in the car and hit the victim. Then leave the car and walk away. The investigations revealed that the woman had been hosted for a short period in the home of the couple. The woman then left the house due to numerous episodes of violence and mistreatment that she had suffered and reported. Husband and wife were then arrested by the police for attempted murder
