A survey carried out by Immobiliare.it detects the increase – or decrease – in the prices of two-room apartments in the major Italian cities from 2016 to today. In Naples, in the last 8 years, two-room apartments have increased by 1.3%.

The increase in the cost of housing is one of the most heartfelt and debated issues in Italy, especially in large cities. The process of massive tourism that some of them are experiencing in recent years has led the price of apartments to rise: a survey conducted by Immobiliare.it analyzes precisely the increase – or, in rare cases, the decrease – in the cost of houses, focusing specifically on two-room apartmentsa type from which many start to purchase their first home, in period ranging from 2016 to today. Well, if in the last eight years the increase in the prices of two-room apartments in large cities such as Milan, Bologna and Florence has been dizzying, it is surprising to note that instead in Naples the cost of this type of apartment was only 1.3%.

It is surprising because, as mentioned, many Italian cities, but Naples in particular, are experiencing a period of strong tourist vocation, and therefore presence. In the Campania capital, in fact, the availability of houses to buy, especially in more recent years, is greatly reduced as many apartments have been transformed into bed and breakfasts and holiday homes to accommodate tourists.
