Flying Disc, the finals of the Italian championships in Padua

The competitive season of the Italian ultimate, the flying disc discipline promoted by Figest, the Italian Federation of Traditional Games and Sports, and in particular by the Flying Disc specialty, which last year already is made known in the Venetian city thanks to the European Junior Under 20 Championships, hosting hundreds of boys and girls from all over Europe.

After the final stages of the other categories (Open and Women B, Serie C and all the youth teams, U20, U17 and U15) played in recent weeks, the grand finale includes the matches that will define the ranking of the A Open series and the A Women series of the Italian Championship. The mixed category championships, where males and females play together, will be in the autumn.

In the Brentella park facilities in Strada Pelosa in Padua on Saturday 8th, quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played which will define the ranking and award the 2024 championship. For the Open A, One Tribe Bologna and Cotarica Grandes Rimini are already in the semi-finals, awaiting the winners between BFD La Fotta White Bologna and Barbastreji CUS Padova and between Discobolo Bologna and the other BDF team, La Fotta Red. The second relegation is also to be defined, after that of One Tribe Next Gen of Bologna.

Also on Saturday in the A Women series, the girls of BDF Shout White and Shout Red will face the winners of the matches between Tequila Boom Boom Rimini and CUS Padova Tane Malefiche and between DiscoBolo Bologna and another BFD team from Bologna, the Cheetahs. A second relegation will also be defined for the girls, after that of the One Tribe.

The finals for first and second place and for third and fourth in both categories will be played on Sunday in the Brentella park facilities.
