ROVIGO – Two people from Campania were reported by the Financial Police of Occhiobello (Rovigo) because they had sold counterfeit clothing products online. The investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rovigo, ordered the execution of 4 local and house searches in the Campania capital and in some neighboring municipalities, which led to the seizure of over 300 items of counterfeit clothing/shoes, for an estimated value of approximately 30,000 euros. The investigation reconstructed that products were sold online at competitive prices by referring to shops that actually existed but were not involved in illegal trade. The financiers purchased some items of clothing and after having discovered the counterfeit, they traced back the commercial chain, reporting the two alleged owners.
