Yesterday, 06.03.2024 at approximately 7.30 pm, a crew from the General Prevention and Public Relief Office intervened in Via Novara, following a report of a theft taking place in a home. On site, the operators identified the owner of the property and the person reported as a thief (an Italian citizen with a criminal record), learning that the latter, former owner of the house subsequently auctioned, had illegally accessed the aforementioned housing unit and once caught while trying to remove material, he exerted violence towards the offended party.

The police intervened when said attack was still taking place, preventing the situation from degenerating further and preserving the victim’s safety.
The subject was then subjected to a personal search, an operation which allowed some objects suitable for offending to be found on his person, including a cutting weapon.
Based on what was ascertained, the man was arrested for the crime of aggravated improper robbery and reported on the loose for carrying weapons and objects capable of offending. At the disposal of the local AG, the perpetrator of the facts was taken to prison, awaiting validation.
