The attorney general requested confirmation of the confiscation for the brothers Giuseppe and Armando Di Chiara, who, according to the accusation, had reused the clan’s money in the construction of a property.

According to what was claimed by the Prosecutor’s Office, Avallone and his sister-in-law ordered Rosa De Novellis, widow of Carmine Iovine, not to set foot in San Cipriano d’Aversa again and to cease her commercial activities. Grasso would instead have managed the video poker and sports betting sector on behalf of the Iovine group.
The defendants are to be considered innocent until a possible irrevocable conviction. If the judicial process has landed before the fifth section of the Court of Appeal of Naples 16 years after the raid, it is because the previous second degree verdict was annulled with postponement in 2021.
