Starting from the town of Povo, the works placed the cycle/pedestrian path on the upstream side of the provincial road 204 (via Castel di Pietrapiana) to widen the existing sidewalk.

The creation of the route also involved the regularization of the existing road layout by moving the road axis towards the valley in the stretch between the intersection north of the sports center and the intersection with Via al Salè.

Furthermore, a new ramal for rainwater collection, the relocation of the sewage pumping system, a road stand with micropiles at the height of the aqueduct next to the CRM and reinforced concrete containment walls covered in porphyry were built. and new lighting with LED lighting fixtures.

The cycle path is approximately 700 meters long and is the continuation (second section) of the project which has as its object the connection between Povo and Villazzano. The total cost of the work was 1 million and 300 thousand euros which were entrusted to the Alco company.

Work on the Via Trener cycle path has begun
To continue to develop sustainable mobility in the city, the Administration will create a cycle path along via Trener, via Centochiavi and Melta park.

The work involves the creation of a cycle path which, along via Trener and via Centochiavi, will connect the existing cycle paths in via Guardini (Bren Center area, Trento Nord post offices) with the Salita dalla Fior, where the new provincial cycle path starts of Valsugana, so as to create a completion among the cycle paths. In particular, the stretch of bidirectional cycle path along via Centochiavi from the intersection with via Trener up to the climb from Fior will be a total of 2 and a half meters wide. The cycle path will be separated from the road platform by a green flowerbed and on this occasion the existing bus stop will also be rebuilt in a new, safer position also accessible to people with disabilities.

As regards Via Trener, it will be called a cycle road: bicycles traveling in the same direction as the vehicles will pass directly on the road, while the others will travel along the new 1.25 meter wide cycle lane created with suitable horizontal signs, dedicated to bicycles coming from via Guardini and headed towards via Centochiavi, uphill from Fior or to the Melta park.

The work will begin in the next few days and will be completed by autumn. To allow it to take place, via Trener will be closed at times, but access to homes and post offices will still be guaranteed with appropriate changes to the road system through via Chiocchetti and via Guardini. The overall cost of the work, supported by Pnrr funds, is equal to 580 thousand euros.
