Domenico La Marca: “The presence of environmental constraints in the PIP-D46 area was never mentioned”

We are well aware of all the critical issues present in the PIP – D46 industrial area that prevent its development.

Among these, however, one of the most significant critical issues was never mentioned during this electoral campaign: the presence of SCI and SPA environmental constraints which partly fall within it.

These are those environmental constraints of the Natura 2000 network also derived from the community and the related perimeter which effectively prevents the aforementioned industrial area to fully carry out its function.

These are those constraints which, for example, prevent the temporary storage plant and selection center for non-hazardous waste coming from separate waste collection, present in the registered office of ASE Spa, from coming into operation so as to complete not only complete management of the waste cycle, but also capable of determining a reduction in the tax burden of the Tari on our community.

Well, from a careful study carried out, it emerged that these constraints are now anachronistic; all the conditions exist, with the help of the Puglia Region and the future MEPs of reference, to review the perimeter of the restricted area, as initially conceived, in order to make the aforementioned industrial area also attractive for further production installations and therefore new Work.

During our administration, we will strive to remove this obstacle that prevents the development of our territory. We believe it, you believe too. Let’s do development, let’s do work, let’s make the future!
