Ducati has chosen Marc Marquez to flank Pecco Bagnaia, while Aprilia focuses on Jorge Martin as heir of Aleix Espargaro. Ducati could announce the decision within the next 24 hours, while Aprilia has already made everything official in an intense afternoon, transforming the wait of the last month into a race to surprise the competition, even in the media. Marquez will therefore be Bagnaia’s teammate for two years starting from 2025. An important and difficult choice, since managing a champion like Marquez represents a challenge. However, the decision is justified not only by the performances, but also by the opportunity to have 11 world titles in the same team (3 for Pecco and 8 for Marc). Martin, on the other hand, had to accept the situation with regret, since that place in Ducati had seemed to be his for a long time, especially after Borgo Panigale had preferred Bastianini over him two years ago.
