Vittoria – The Director of the State Police Commissariat of Vittoria, last May 23rd, as part of the Legality Education project of the State Police of Ragusa, strongly supported by the Police Commissioner Dr. Vincenzo Trombadore, met the students of the local Institute “Gianni Rodari – San Biagio” State Comprehensive for an initiative aimed at instilling in young students the importance of the “Sentinels of Legality” concept.
In his speech, the manager of the PS Commissariat of Vittoria underlined how every student must take on the role of “Sentinel of legality” which is indispensable for developing a critical capacity useful for becoming citizens of a better future.
During the aforementioned meeting, the young “sentinels” developed a project idea linked to the safety and protection of their territory, in compliance with the rules, for a more sustainable future.
This role makes students protagonists, that is, capable of exercising their citizenship rights and duties; they are expressed in respect of the rules and in participation in civil, social, political and economic life.
The teaching of legality constitutes one of the most important educational frontiers and has as its main objective to create a virtuous circle between young citizens and institutions to encourage the assumption of responsibility of the individual towards the community by combating any form of deviance.
Having said this, in this context the important role of each student becomes determined, who today more than ever is called upon to wear the uniform of the “Sentinel of Legality”.
