The “Idee in Corso” association organized a neighborhood dinner on Friday evening in the heart of Corso Mazzini, from number 79 towards the door, setting up, with everyone’s collaboration, the tables and the reception. The event saw the participation of more than 70 people, almost all of whom were also involved in the organisation, demonstrating that this area of the city, often described as run-down, is in reality a vibrant place of community life. The members of the association expressed great satisfaction with the outcome of the initiative: “We had a wonderful dinner, exchanging the food brought by everyone, meeting Italian and foreign inhabitants who dined with us. No injuries, no fights, on the contrary a climate of pleasantness that made us say ‘let’s do it again soon'”.

The event was “a tangible example of how community life can be cultivated and enhanced in urban areas that are often overlooked or criticized”. During dinner, participants had the opportunity to get to know their neighbors better, exchanging different stories and cultures in a peaceful and welcoming environment. “Idee in Corso” continues to demonstrate the importance of local initiatives to promote social cohesion and liveability in neighborhoods: “We want to continue to live and promote community life in this area. The success of these evenings, now an eagerly awaited event by many, motivates us to organize other similar events in the future and to continue with teamwork with other organizations that share our goal, in particular with “Regnoli 41” and “Thought and Action”. we will certainly be able to do even more because we believe that active citizenship is an indispensable condition for reviving the centre”.
