A Dutch tourist defaced the walls of a Roman domus in the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum, an ancient city buried by Vesuvius in the eruption of 79 AD. C. together with Pompeii. The park security staff and the police were alerted yesterday to yet another injury. The 27-year-old tourist on holiday in Campania daubed ancient stucco with a permanent black marker. He was immediately identified and reported for damaging and defacing artistic works.
