Pavia: “We need infrastructure”, Silvia Piani and Marco Reguzzoni in Europe to find funds

Silvia Piani and Marco Reguzzonicandidates in the North West constituency for Forza Italia in the next European elections, and the plan for infrastructural development of Pavia: “In Pavia we have large companies, we need infrastructure that helps them“. In Europe to find the funds: “Let’s double the tracks and connect to the port system (also to remove traffic)“.

The candidates’ plan

“The future of Pavia and its province? We firmly believe that it can be built on infrastructural development in the areawhich is also a crucial issue for the whole of Lombardy”.

This is what Silvia Piani and Marco Reguzzoni, candidates in the North West constituency for Forza Italia in the next European elections.

“In the last four years, thanks to the Strategic Plan for Pavia developed by Assolombarda, we have seen notable progress”says Piani, former regional councilor.

“The choice of Pavia as the headquarters of the Chips-It National Foundation and the launch of the Cardano Park for sustainable innovation are just some examples of how we are enhancing our microelectronics district and our industrial excellence.”

But, if things are working so far, the future must include adequate actions to support the system:

“To continue on this path, it is essential to address and resolve the critical issues that still exist, particularly on the infrastructure side. The Becca Bridge over the Po and railway connections to Milan, as well as those from Vigevano to Pavia, represent crucial points that require urgent intervention. It is imperative that these works, already included in the Anas program contractreceive the necessary funding to be completed as soon as possible.”

The main points

Here then is Marco Reguzzoni –entrepreneur, former deputy and president of the Province of Varese– and Silvia Piani are very clear about the main points on which to insist:

“We are committed to supporting the doubling of the railway line between Milan and Mortara and the quadrupling of thehe Milan-Pavia-Tortona line along the Rhine-Alpine Corridorfundamental for connections with the port of Genoa. Furthermore, an extraordinary maintenance plan for light and heavy infrastructure is essential. Lto the TEN-T network of European corridorsrecently approved by European Parliamentrequires strategic transport planning that goes beyond European geographical borders, taking into account the connections with the Mediterranean and the ongoing crises in the Middle East.

The question of infrastructure becomes central in the reasoning of the two Forza Italia candidates.

“Work and the protection of our industries and agriculture will also be at the center
of political action – adds Reguzzoni – starting from the law on mandatory labeling which
bears my name, the law 55/2010 “Reguzzoni – Versace”, which simply states that in order for a product to boast the “made in Italy” label, it must be made in Italy. An almost banal thing, but it doesn’t happen that way. Today – and this is said by the person who gave it its name – lMy law is ineffectivebecause a product that enters a French customs and goes on the German market obviously it is not subject to Italian law.

Thus Reguzzoni and Piani conclude: “We will work to obtain a European regulation on labelling of products to defend our Made in Italy, both in the textile and agri-food sectors”.
