Troise: “It’s a privilege to coach Arezzo. The club and I want to grow in level”

Outside the stadium, to greet the first day of Emanuele Troise, there is a banner from the south: “hunger for football and thirst for victory, this city wants to write history”. Not far away, now reduced to shreds, there is another that was hung a few days ago: “our eye is always attentive… shall we go ahead with the project?”. They are the two moods who coexist among the fans in this period, fresh from a very positive two-year period and the sudden change decided by the ownership, which dismissed the CEO, general manager and coach in one fell swoop, inaugurating a new course.

The amaranth technician will have to live with these two fires, trying to fuel the first and extinguish the second. But it’s a dilemma which doesn’t weigh on him for now: enthusiasm and adrenaline for the new adventure are greater than any danger. Elegant, with a light jacket and light blue striped shirt, he presented the image of a prepared professional on and off the pitch. Among his first words there is the mention of illustrious Arezzo artists such as Michelangelo, Petrarca, Guido Monaco and Piero Della Francesca, to which he added the more prosaic Maurizio Sarri And Antonio Contepredecessors who were not too lucky in Arezzo but who then won the scudetto.

“I know there are some in this city four neighborhoods who challenge each other – said Troise – and I would like ours, on a football level, to be a challenge. Arezzo and I are similar in our ambition to improve, for me it is a privilege to be here with the aim of raising our level.”

Troise, 45, thanked the Riminihis last team, for having granted him the opportunity to bring forward the press conference in Arezzo twenty-seven days before the expiry of his contract (an obligatory courtesy given that the Romagna club has already announced Antonio Buscè for the bench). The new Amaranth coach then set his tactical basis: “We will alternate 433 and 4231 as happened with Indians: he leaves me an important legacy regarding the team’s ability to vary the game system, to offer organized and proactive football the way I like it. On the market we will look for grafts capable of taking us up a few steps and respecting the objectives of the square and the property”.

Troise spoke about resilience (“it’s a concept that is now part of my way of being”), he dusted off the memories of when he came to the Comunale as an opposing player with Ternana (“Abbruscato and Floro Flores were a severe test, here it was always bedlam” ) and said goodbye Pattarello And Guccionealready coached at the youth teams of Bologna and Mantua: “They didn’t call me and they did well. There is a solid human relationship between us, as I had with almost all my players, but now I’m their coach and we have to behave in the right way”.

At the end of the press conference, a classic souvenir photo with the president Beef and the director Cutolo. Troise has signed a two-year contract and his deputy will be part of his staff Domenico De Cecco and the athletic trainer Matteo Basilewith whom he will collaborate Maurizio Pecorari. The names for the role of match analyst and goalkeeper coach are being defined, while he could be chosen as a field assistant Luca Castiglia. It would be an excellent trait d’union between past and future.
