«For me we will be able to sign the agreement tomorrow morning as well as beyond June 30th. It’s not a problem of date, it’s a problem of substance.” The Minister for European Affairs, the South, Cohesion Policies and the Pnrr, Raffaele Fitto, says this on the sidelines of a discussion at the Industrial Union of Naples, regarding the timing of the signing of the Cohesion Agreement with Campania, on which there was a dispute which led the Council of State to set the terms within which there must be an agreement. The president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, after the pronouncement of the Council of State, spoke of the end of June for the signature.

«In the meantime I would like to underline that we have allocated 1.2 billion euros with the law and cohesion decree for the recovery of Bagnoli, this is a fact after over 30 years, which is thanks to the government, to Prime Minister Meloni in particular who strongly wanted this intervention, so it seems to me that things are proceeding in this direction and we will also address some even partial solutions with the methods provided for by the decree law, as was the case for this type of intervention”, concluded Fitto.

«I don’t understand that the Prime Minister and the President of the Campania Region were offended, I understand that there was a serious offense against the Prime Minister. And a response that underlined the seriousness of this offense. They are different things.” Thus Minister Fitto returned to what happened in recent days in Caivano, on the occasion of the inauguration of the “Pino Daniele” sports center.
