CROTONE – He had 280 grams of marijuana at home, money, a scale and many transparent bags. For this reason, a 35-year-old from Crotone, MR, an entrepreneur in the restaurant sector, was arrested by the soldiers of the Radiomobile Section of the Carabinieri Company of Crotone. The arrest took place on June 1st following a check carried out for other reasons in an apartment building in the city centre. During the intervention, the attention of the police was attracted by an unmistakable smell of marijuana coming from an apartment. Following the inspection, approximately 280 grams of marijuana were found inside the house in twelve separate containers, as well as a precision scale, a switchblade and many small transparent bags, along with a lot of cash. .
The search carried out also in the car of the owner of the apartment allowed an illegally possessed baseball bat to be found inside the vehicle.
The man was then declared under arrest by the military for possession with the aim of dealing drugs and reported for illegal possession of the baseball bat. At the disposal of the PM of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Crotone, he is placed under house arrest at his home. House arrest which was revoked by the judge on Monday 3 June following the direct in which, however, the arrest was validated.
