Placed in the field with the Municipality for computer fraud

The round table entitled “Fraud prevention. Prevent, Counter and Mitigate the Risks of Cybersecurity Fraud – Reference Regulatory Framework”, organized by Poste Italiane in collaboration with the Municipality of Pisa, the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa and the State Police with the aim of increasing citizens’ awareness and culture to defend themselves from fraudsters. A special dedicated cancellation was also presented on the occasion.

The satisfaction of the participants

Satisfaction for the representatives of Poste Italiane, Raffaele Panico (head of Fraud Management), Alessandra Mariotti (head of Fraud Management Centre-North) and Fabrizio Gaudio (director of the Pisa branch): “In the majority of frauds, the fraudster initially comes into contact with the citizen and, through deception, attempts to steal credentials, passwords and access codes. It is essential that citizens become aware of the attempts underway, do not access the links, do not fill out any forms and are clearly ready to manage any subsequent phases. On our website poste.it, in the section dedicated to security, a series of tips and some videos are available that explain phenomena such as smishing, phishing and vishing”.

The calendar

This meeting will be followed in June by a pilot training project on the prevention of digital and financial fraud, according to the following calendar: 6-7 and 13-14 June from 10am to 1pm: corner station dedicated to listening and support at the post office in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II in Pisa; June 13th from 4pm to 6.30pm: training room at the Municipality of Pisa, dedicated to citizens. Following this, a second training room dedicated to high school students will be held in September.
