Catanzaro – The network of Family Counselors of the ASP of Catanzaro, as part of the week dedicated by the ASP of Catanzaro to the Rights of the Child, has activated, in synergy with some provincial schools, some symbolic activities within some classes of primary schools of the territory. The event reminds us that children and young people have inviolable rights and that no rights are acquired forever, as is demonstrated by the condition of many boys and girls around the world.
Emotions, thoughts and symbolic play were the ingredients of a day which involved the young students, who, through art and music, expressed their ideas about rights, both acquired and denied: the right to freedom, to have a family and inclusion. The clinics involved were those of Catanzaro, Catanzaro Lido, Soverato, Chiaravalle, Badolato and Girifalco, whose operators involved the students of the “Pascoli-Aldisio” comprehensive institute and the “Vivaldi” comprehensive institute in the port complex of Catanzaro, of the “Mario Squillace” comprehensive institute of Montepaone, the Chiaravalle 2 comprehensive institute, the “Scopelliti” comprehensive institute of Girifalco and the Borgia comprehensive institute – San Floro section.
“A special thanks goes to the children met, to the teaching staff, to the directors of the schools, to the SAI of Badolato, to the Italian Refugee Council (Cir) and to all the operators of the Family Counselors – we read in a note from the ASP – The Counselors Family members offer free services by integrating with the network of local authorities and local bodies. They work to support individuals, women, children, adolescents, young adults and families. They also guarantee, for a better health offer, specialist services with a specific requirement, so as to ensure that the person receives both consultancy and specialist services, guaranteeing ‘global management'”.
