The Republic celebrates itself

Ceremony in the afternoon at the Teatro Sociale for the presentation of the honors of the Republic. On stage, not only the musicians but also 5 new knights of the Republic. Prefect Di Nuzzo, on behalf of President Mattarella, awarded five citizens the honors of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, the highest order of the State.

Honored Giovanni Boniolo, former president of the Accademia dei Concordi, Marshal Paolo Antonio Carnemolla, Marco Emanuele, Luciano Ghirardi and Paolo Ghiotti, former regional president of Ance, the names of those who, with commitment, sacrifice and dedication, have distinguished themselves on a humanitarian, working, cultural and social level. The commissioner of the Rovigo capital, Gianfranco Tomao, also presented the awards. Before starting the concert performed by the orchestra “I Filarmonici Veneti”, by the Coro lirico del Veneto and created with the contribution of the Cariparo Foundation, Di Nuzzo recalled: “Celebrating today the institution of our Republic, in the name of music and bel canto, creates the sense of being together, in all its components represented here: mayors, trade unions, administrators and citizens, all united and proud in belonging to the Republic.
