Rovigoracconta, the festival that fills the squares

A festival full of visitors and participants. Rovigoracconta 2024 yesterday closed the three days of literary events renewing a success of interest and public.

The last intense day of Rovigoracconta opened in the morning, after the celebrations for the Republic Day, with the “Body Snatchers” by Francesca Marzia Espositowhich fights the extremisms of body care, a common theme with other leading publications of yesterday: from advice for an “Imaginal Fasting”, in a renewed meditative relationship with one’s body, by Selene Calloni Williams, to Franco Berrino’s suggestions for ” Stopping time”, slowing down the inevitable biological age.

Another focus of this year’s “dreaming strong in orange” was the figure of women and the reclamation of their rights. So here it is Jennifer Guerra, who with “Feminism is not a brand” launches a cry of alarm to remove feminism from commercial manipulation by “taming it”, while Sara A. Benatti in “The Curse of Ariadne” reread the well-known myth underlining the historical denial of freedom to women; Flavia Carlini in her “We want everything” reveals the abuses in the workplace and medical violence, the indifference and responsibility, of which women are too often victims and a denunciation of gender violence with legal advice on how to defend oneself came from the well-known activist Cathy La Torre in her “It’s Not Normal”.

There is no shortage of novels for fans of the genre: “The wild path”, on the defense of nature, by Matteo Righetto and “Ora amati” by Roberto Emanuelli on exhausting love; nor the essays: from the analysis of creativity by Annamaria Testa with “La trama lucente”, to the historical and human analysis of the figure of Matteotti in “Tempesta. The life of Giacomo Matteotti” by Antonio Funiciello to Sergio Rizzo’s merciless denunciation of the limits of rulers in his “Io so io. How politicians became untouchable again”, or “The king of all. A portrait of Stephen King masterfully told by his translator”, Luca Briasco, up to the invitation to a more authentic existence by the theologian Vito Mancuso: “You never lack joy”, which brought the curtain down on the festival.

Among the many initiatives related to the presentation of books, the proposals of Rovigoracconta Off, thanks to the collaboration with various city entities. For those with a sweet tooth and lovers of the palate, “The dream of granita” by the Godot ice cream shop, “The dream of gin”, curated by Raró Shop, or “A journey through taste between Italy and Japan” suggested by Inki Makisushi. Space for body-mind wellbeing with the “Ten minutes of meditation” proposed by I.Life Cosmetici or in the care of spaces, thanks to “Transform your home with a question” by Bolzoni Galleria. Also pay attention to children with the Babylon Lingue experience “You may say I’m a dreamer”, in addition to the show of the Teatro Moro, in collaboration with Il Teatro sei Voi, “Turbo dizel”, in the Matteotti gardens. And of course the direct story of Delta Radio, media partner of the festival, in “Rovigoracconta on air”.
